THEY'RE BACK !!! The HPAG Workshop is back and better than ever!!

The return of THE HOLLYWOOD PLAYERS ACTOR'S GROUP Workshop. Dec. 1st, 2013

After a very long Hiatus due to Kelly Mullis doing two plays, "Marilyn-My Secret" & "Garbo's Cuban Lover",  back to back from March-August 2013 and shooting a short film about Marilyn Monroe in the middle of the plays, HPAG Workshops are back!

Some of the same faces have returned and many new ones. We are very excited to be back and on the road to getting actors comfortable on stage and doing great improvisations and cold reading scenes.

This time around, it's my goal to get people to get off book and memorized so that they can really commit to the character development and scene work. 

IMPROVISATIONS 
Here is Kerry Liu doing an improvisation that I call "monologue on the spot"!

She is describing her job as a window washer (audience suggestion) and how she gets sad when spiders that are caught in the corner of her windows essentially starve to death.       

Michael Beardsley plays an IRS guy who has come to give an Evangelists Couple some bad news. It was so funny!                                            

Jennifer Jhaveri is being a very patience waitress to a very difficult and unhappy customer.

GUESS WHO's Coming to dinner! Kelly Mullis with her very young new boytoy to visit her friends who aren't getting as lucky as Kelly is.  The Kelly confesses that she slept with her friends hubby 10 years ago. The tables turn.   

COLD READING SCENES

"Rizzoli & Isles"Scene 
Ryan Stevens killed this scene as a punk who is being interrogated by  Dennis and Michael. Ryan was perfect in this scene. Call back for sure!

"Shameless" Scene
Jennifer plays a probation office to Ramona who is playing the role of Fiona in Shameless. These girls were amazing together! I really loved this scene so much!

     "We aren't friends," says Jennifer's character.  

"Grey's Anatomy" Scene
Jennifer struggles with a prosthetic hand as her sweet husband looks on. Zack is the doctor examining her progress.  Wonderful Scene. Jennifer was really believable! Call back for sure!

"MAJOR CRIMES" Scene
Ramona kills in this scene as an emotional woman talking about her husband who died and she found out he was gay. She brought such true emotion to this role. She was crying full on real tears. I was really impressed. Kerry was also very strong and stoic in this role of a detective. Wonderful work ladies!

"SCANDAL" Scene
Michael and Kerry have chemisty in this seduction scene with diabolical Alexandria. She did this role very well indeed.

 "THE TRIP BACK DOWN SCENE" 
 I, Kelly Mullis did a reading with Zack for an audition I have on Friday for a new play. It's wonderfully written with rich full characters.  I'm playing an unhappy married woman who is very unfulfilled and hoping to change that with an old fling who comes to town. :) Scene went great! Thank you Zack, you were a great Bobby!                                             

Well, that Workshop was a total blast! Workshops are scheduled for the following days. Sign up whenever you like.  They are only $20 per workshop. And you'll have the best time ever!
